In Dark Age of Camelot, there are three unique realms that a player must choose upon: Albion, Hibernia, and Midgard. Each of the realms has a completely unique land area, different classes and races, and other characteristics. All of the realms feature their mainland, as well as numerous dungeons within it. Each realm has a Shrouded Isles, Trials of Atlantis, and Catacombs lands from their respective expansion packs.
The Realm of Albion is based upon old Arthurian legend. Many of the places are based upon real English locations, such as Stonehenge or Hadrian's Wall. Their races consist mainly of human-types.
The Realm of Hibernia is based upon Celtic folklore and legend. Hibernian, being a realm of nature, the races are mostly fairy-types or nature-based.
The Realm of Albion is based upon Norse legend. Many of Midgard's classes are based on gods, such as Loki and Thor. Their races are primarily primitive-types, that are sturdy in build.
